The Octopus, octopus maorum, which grows to arm spread of about 4 ft with a body length of more than 9 inches.
The Squid, sepioteuthis bilineata, which usually grow to length of about 1 ft.
Black-footed paua, haliotis iris, found below low-water mark on boulder beaches and considered a delicacy. The shell is used for ornamental purposes.
