Dunedin - Larnach Castle, New Zealand

"Larnach Castle" is a landmark on the uplands of the Otago Peninsula of New Zealand. Its chequered career began in the early 'seventies of the nineteenth century, and with the passing of the years an accretion of legend has gathered round its history and that of its owners. Even when shorn of doubtful increments, however, the story of "Larnach Castle" reveals it as perhaps the most remarkable and often talked about castle in New Zealand. My father spent a considerable amount of time researching information about the New Zealand castle and before he died he shared some of his findings with me.
